What is a Prophecy Superfan?

Well, I think of a Prophecy Superfan as someone who loves the Prophecy series so much that they can’t wait for the next book to come out. Superfans tell their friends about the book(s) and have often re-read the book or plan to re-read it to gear up for the release of Guardian of the Gate. They know off the top of their head when the next book comes out and plan to read it right away when it does. Most importantly, Superfans do the all-important job of spreading the word about the book and series.

Because when I asked teens from all over the country what the number one factor was in getting them to read books, do you know what they said?

Amazon reviews? Nope.

Blurbs from other authors or review excerpts? Surprisingly, not that either.

The truth is, even covers came in second to a friend’s recommendation.

Which means you, dear reader, are the most important part of the equation. You have WAY more power than you think you do!

And call me old-fashioned, but I tend to believe that hype is, well, hype. A great story, like anything else that’s wonderful, will find an audience mostly through positive word-of-mouth.

Anyway, I decided to give a little something back to those of you who have been Superfans completely without incentive. You have kept me company online, waxed poetic about Prophecy to anyone who will listen, and spread the word far and wide.

Now, I’m going to give something to you.

It goes like this; I’m giving away Prophecy Superfan Prize Packs to the first 50 people to tell me they’re Superfans of the series.

Each Prize Pack contains five bookmarks, a gilt picture frame, two hairpins (I can’t promise anything, but if you want to specify which ones you’d prefer, I’ll do my best), and one white rose button/backpack pin (not pictured here because they’re en route from the manufacture).

I am including five bookmarks with the hope that you’ll keep one and give the other four away (or leave them in a bookstore or something) to continue spreading the word, but this is, for all intents and purposes, a no-strings-attached giveaway.

Call it a thank you from me to you for all you guys to do make this whole process so much fun and for supporting Prophecy and me in every way possible.

All you have to do to win is leave a comment telling me you’re a Prophecy Superfan. Make sure to include your email address. It won’t show up publicly, but I’ll be able to see it so I can contact you to get a mailing address for your Superfan Prize Pack.
